Simple Syrup Recipes
Try it
in iced tea or combine with rye whiskey, lemon juice and bitters for an
amazing cocktail. We use a splash in Lemonade or Hot Herbal Tea!
1 cup water
1 cup sugar
1 cup dried Rose Petals or Lavender Buds
Combine the water and sugar in a saucepan and bring to a boil, stirring occasionally until sugar dissolves. Reduce the heat to a simmer. Stir in the rose petals/lavender and continue to simmer for 10 minutes. Remove from the heat and steep for 15 minutes. Strain through a mesh sieve, reserving the syrup in a clean glass container.
Store in the refrigerator and use within one month.
You can also substitute Orange Peel, Lemon Peel, Calendula, Chamomile, Dandelion, Hibiscus, Peppermint, Spearmint or any other herb you like!
Tip: For a more tart flavor with the benefit of an abundance of vitamin C, add ½ cup Rose Hips to the ingredients.
Sweet & Spice Juniper Simple Syrup is so flavorful people will think it took a lot of effort. Use this syrup to create your own signature cocktails and mocktails.
1 cup water
3 tablespoons dried juniper berries
3 cardamom whole pods or 1 tsp chopped fresh ginger
1/2 c Orange/Lemon Peel or One whole fresh orange/Lemon
Using a mortar and pestle, lightly crush the juniper berries to break them open. Toss the berries into a medium saucepan. Repeat with the cardamom pods. Cut the orange peel into strips and add to the pan. Add the water and heat over medium heat to just bring the mixture to a boil. Reduce heat and stir in sugar. Simmer the mixture on the lowest heat for 15-20 minutes. Remove from heat, cover and refrigerate for 8 hours or overnight. Strain and refrigerate the reserved syrup. Use within 2 weeks.
Lavender & Thyme Simple Syrup incorporates a botanical combination that compliments in baked goods, or in lemonade. In cocktails, pair it with vodka or gin, sparkling soda and fresh lemon juice. Placing the herbs in a small muslin bag makes straining the mixture much easier.
1 cup water
1 cup sugar
¼ cup lavender flowers
2 teaspoons dried thyme
Combine water and sugar in a saucepan. Place the lavender and thyme in a muslin bag and tie the top. Drop bag into the pan. Bring the mixture to a boil, stirring occasionally until sugar dissolves. Reduce heat and simmer 10 minutes. Remove from heat and let steep 10 minutes. Remove bag and transfer syrup into a clean glass container.
Refrigerate and use within 2 weeks.
Black Peppercorn Simple Syrup is an earthy, robust syrup that partners beautifully with the flavors of orange, grapefruit, persimmons, ginger and lavender.
1 cup water
1 cup sugar
1⁄4 cup whole black peppercorns, lightly crushed or 10 drops Black Pepper Essential Oil
Combine water and sugar in a sauce pan. Crush peppercorns slightly using a mortar and pestle; add to pan and bring mixture to a boil, stirring occasionally until sugar dissolves. Reduce heat and simmer 10 minutes. Remove from heat and steep for 10-15 minutes. Strain, reserving the syrup in a glass jar.

Gemstone Wands -- Cleansing & Charging your wands
Gemstone Wands are used
to massage the reflex points, drawing off negative energy when pointed
away from the body and channeling energy to the body when pointed
inwards, This restores the flow of energy through the entire body,
promoting general good health and well-being.
Cleansing Your Wand
To cleanse your wand
is to remove the energy that a wand may have absorbed and return it to
clean, pure energy. To charge a wand is to replenish its energy after it
has been depleted. Though some use these words interchangeably, a wand
must often be cleansed before it can be charged. The first (and some say easiest) way to cleanse a wand is to smudge it with sage. Start by lighting a stick of sage and blow it out so that it continues to smolder, producing a steady stream of smoke (think incense). Hold your crystal directly in the plume of smoke and let the smoke rise around all sides of the crystal. Continue to do this until you feel like it has been cleansed enough. (Five minutes is more than ample time). This is a great method to use for cleansing stones if you are pressed for time.
In addition to soaking in salt water (3 tbsp salt to 1/2 gallon rain water), you can also leave your wands out in the rain. The power of clean rain water can wash negativity out of your wand. Twelve hours is a good default. Letting them soak in river water is also effective; be careful as you may lose them! Burying your wand in the earth for 12 hours can also cleanse and rejuvenate it. Just make sure to put a little twig as a marker of where you buried it, or you may lose it!
Charging Your Wand
The double-duty method is to leave your stones in sunlight. Some
stones may fade via this method. However, 6-12 hours in the sun not only
clears out any negative energy it might have picked up, but also
recharges it with positive energy. Besides charging with sunlight, you can also charge stones by the light of the full moon. In this case, it may take more than 6-12 hours to recharge.
After Cleansing & Recharging
Once a stone has been cleansed and charged, the next step is to set a
clear intention for what the stone is to be used for. To make sure that
your wand is always used for the highest good and your needs, it is
important to dedicate the wand. To begin your dedication, hold your cleansed and charged wand in both hands in a quiet place. Focus your thoughts to the stone and declare that it be used “In light, in love, and for the good of all.” After that, you can add whatever it is that you benediction, such as protection, abundance, romantic love, etc. You can end your dedication with “And so it is,” sealing your intention.
Once you have finished cleansing, charging, and setting the intention for your stones, they will be ready to be used for healing and meditation.

DIY Eyelash Serum
I've been asked several times about eyelash serum. So I've done research and we now offer Organic Castor Oil (comes with a lash brush).
Basically you'll brush your lashes and make sure the roots have a light coating (the part touching the eyelid). But for the more adventerous we have found a basic recipe:
1 tsp Organic Castor Oil
1 tsp Emu Oil (you can use Organic Almond Oil from grocery store)
1/2 tsp Organic Coconut Oil
10 drops Vitamin E (about 2 capsules)
Mix all ingredients and store in a small dropper bottle or air tight container.
To use, squeeze one drop on to your finger or a cotton swab and gently massage into lash line. I prefer to do this at night to let it work overnight before washing my face in the morning.
Use daily for best results.
TIP: This can also be used on eyebrows to help with thinning eyebrows.
This will last up to a year as long as it is kept in an air tight container and not contaminated with a liquid. You can wash lash brush in hot soapy water and let air dry.

CBD - What is it and Why Use it?
First I want to start with we are NOT allowed to sell CBD Oil on our website. BUT I do offer it at shows and through invoice. Info@JnJFarmKY.com for more information.
My husband was diagnosed with Stage 2 Parkinson's and I was diagnosed with Stage 4 Cervical Cancer within 1 week of each other in May of this year.
So far so good on my, waiting to heal to do follow-up PAP to make sure I'm cancer free, BUT hubby is on Rytary for Parkinson's. One of the side effects is anxiety. WOW!! His 1st attack scared me!! BUT I mentioned the problem with a friend and he prompted me to do research on CBD.
I'd heard about it and worked at several shows with vendors offering CBD but could NEVER get an honest answer or explanation about their products. At one show the vendor was selling Hemp Oil which is NOT CBD!!
I contacted several companies and finally found one that not only explained in PLAIN English and showed me examples and sent a free box for hubby to try.
The difference is surprisingly simple:
These plants contain low levels of cannabinoids including the two most commonly known: THC (tetrahydrocannabinol) and CBD (cannabidiol). The oil is extracted from the hemp plants by pressing the seeds they produce. Since hemp seeds do not contain any THC, the extracted oil does not contain any as well.
I have since become a wholesaler for CBDistillery. Why?
1) They have ranked in the top 10 CBD companies for the last 5 years;
2) They 3rd party test EVERY batch AND test for heavy metals; and,
3) I set my OWN prices!
Since by VA State Law I cannot offer my products online, but you can email me and I can invoice you for the items you want.
For documentation on CBDistillery's record:
