New Year New Products!

We are expanding to include some amazing products for 2021!

Arnica Oil which is a natural oil for use as a massage oil for sore muscles, sprains and bruises. You can add essential oils to enhance it's healing qualities!

Ucuuba butter a rich, earthy hard butter used to replenish tone and moisture to dry/mature skin. It is very hard and must be added to other butters/oils to make pliable and a good substitute for beeswax!

We now offer Irish Burren, Dragon's Blood and Sandalwood Lotion in 5oz sizes for both regular and vegan!

Homemade Vapor Rub

Here is a basic recipe to help clear your nose if stuffy. You can add Essential Oils if you want to bump up your rub.

2oz Beeswax (2 bars)
4oz Carrier Oil (Apricot, Rice Bran, Grapeseed, etc) (or 1/2 cup)
1 TBSP Menthol Crystals (or to suit)

Use a scale or the we've broken down for easier use. You can either use a double-boiler or a 2c pyrex measuring cup and the microwave (this is now dedicated to making homemade salves) in 30 second bursts. You want to melt not cook your recipe!

I melt the beeswax about half way through then add the menthol (they do take awhile to melt) crystals using a popcicle stick I mix then add the carrier oil and microwave are warm then mix well.

You can now add essential oils to enhance the rub or just pour into 2 3oz jars or 3 2oz jars.

Essential Oil ideas for adding:
50d AB Protection Blend
10d Eucalpyus Oil
10d Lemon Oil
20d Peppermint (Wintergreen or Spearmint) Oil
10d Rosemary Oil
10d Cedarwood Oil
10d Copaiba Balsam Oil
10d Pine Oil
10d Cinnamon Oil
10d Clove Oil
10d Grapefruit Oil
10d Frankincense Oil

ALL the above oils can be used alone or in tandem or congestion.

Use no more than 50 DROPS for the above recipe!

Pine Needle Foam Soap

White Pine Foam Soap

60 ml (1/4c) castile soap
30 drops Pine Needle essential oil (Pinus)

Combine the castile soap and essential oils in the bottle and shake well. You’re done! This recipe only makes 2oz or 1/4 cup.

We recommend starting with the above recipe to see if you like the soap. The average commercial pump soap bottle is 8oz. If so you can triple which will almost fill at cleaned commercial pump soap bottle. We believe in recycling everything.

There is a reason that a lot of natural cleaners smell like conifer essential oils—the conifers are great at getting rid of germs! This is true of Pine and its friends in the conifer group, like Hemlock (Tsuga canadensis), Balsam Fir (Abies balsamea), and Black Spruce (Picea mariana).

Hydrosols & Floral Waters

What is a Hydrosol?

A hydrosol, also known as a plant water, hydrolat, essential water, and herbal distillate is the liquid byproduct of steam distilling an essential oil. Hydrosols have many of the same therapeutic benefits as essential oils, but are much gentler and have a softer aroma than essential oils.

In other words, it is the water that is distilled with essential oils. When the steam from the distilled water passes through the plant material, it takes with it the volatile oils from the plant. The two travel through the tube at the top of the steam vessel (typically copper) and down through the condensing tube. Once the water and oil have separated, the essential oil is siphoned off the top and what you have left is the hydrosol.

Hydrosols are moisturizing, anti-inflammatory, mildly antiseptic, and are a wonderfully fragrant addition to skin care. Due to their benevolent nature, hydrosols offer a myriad of treatment possibilities when essential oils might be too strong.

Our Hydrosol's are currently available in Rose & Lavender 2oz Spray, 2oz Refill, 4oz Refill & 8oz Refill.

Can be used as the liquid in any of our Clay Masks!
