  1. Understanding chakras and the connection with moonstone

In order to fully appreciate the mystical powers of moonstone, it is important to understand the concept of chakras and their relationship with this enchanting gemstone. Chakras, derived from ancient Hindu philosophy, are believed to be energy centers within the body that correspond to various physical and spiritual aspects of our being.

There are seven main chakras, each associated with a specific color and located along the spine. These chakras act as conduits for the flow of energy, and when they are balanced and aligned, we experience harmony and well-being. However, when there is an imbalance or blockage in any of these energy centers, it can lead to physical, emotional, or spiritual distress.

The connection between moonstone and chakras lies in its ability to enhance, heal, and activate these energy centers. Moonstone is particularly beneficial for the sacral and third eye chakras.

The sacral chakra, represented by orange, is in the lower abdomen and is associated with creativity, emotions, and sensuality. When this chakra is balanced, we feel a sense of passion, joy, and abundance. Moonstone's calming and soothing properties have a harmonizing effect on the sacral chakra, helping to release negative emotions, enhance creativity, and foster a deeper connection with our emotions and desires.

The third eye chakra, represented by the color indigo, is in the center of the forehead and is associated with intuition, insight, and spiritual awareness. This chakra is often referred to as the "seat of the soul" and is connected to our ability to perceive beyond the physical realm. Moonstone's mystical qualities have a profound impact on the third eye chakra, amplifying our intuitive abilities and allowing us to tap into higher levels of consciousness. By meditating with moonstone, we can enhance our spiritual insight, expand our intuitive powers, and gain a deeper understanding of ourselves and the world around us.

When using moonstone for chakra healing meditation, it is important to cleanse and recharge the gemstone regularly to ensure its optimal energy flow. You can achieve this by placing the moonstone under the light of the moon or using cleansing techniques such as smudging with sage or using sound vibrations.

By incorporating moonstone into your chakra healing practice, you can unlock the mystical powers of this captivating gemstone and experience a deeper sense of balance, intuition, and spiritual connection. Whether you are seeking emotional healing, spiritual growth, or simply interested in exploring the magical realm of crystals, moonstone can be a powerful tool on your journey towards self-discovery and well-being.

  1. The power of moonstone in chakra healing meditation

Moonstone, with its enchanting beauty and mystical energy, has long been revered for its ability to enhance and activate the chakras. Chakras, the energy centers within our body, play a crucial role in our overall well-being and spiritual growth. When the third eye chakra is balanced, we experience enhanced intuition, spiritual insight, and a deeper understanding of ourselves and the world around us. Moonstone's mystical qualities have a profound impact on the third eye chakra, amplifying our intuitive abilities and allowing us to access higher levels of consciousness. By meditating with moonstone placed on the third eye chakra, we can strengthen our connection to our inner wisdom, expand our intuitive powers, and gain a deeper understanding of the spiritual aspects of our existence.

The Thieves Story:

In the 15th century, vast areas of Europe were ravaged by The Black Death. The Plague was an airborne disease that easily affected anyone who came in close proximity with those ill from it. Legend says that this economic crash pushed a band of spice merchants to become thieves in order to sustain themselves. However, as most of their prospective ‘victims’ were falling or were to fall gravely ill from the fast spreading disease, they had to find a way to protect themselves before think about getting close enough the sick and weak to rob them.

So, they blended the essential oils of a handful of potently medicinal ingredients in order to escape the wrath of the Plague as they stole whatever riches they could find in the dying or dead infected Europeans. When the King heard of their looting, they were hunted down and caught for their crimes. Their choices, when the King heard about how they were able to steal from the plagued and live to tell the tale, were to be burned at the stake for their crimes and for suspicion of the usage of witchcraft, or share their secret formula of “immunity”. They chose the latter and their blend, as well as variations of it, is still used today and has been proven by a study at Weber State University in Utah to have antibacterial, antiseptic and antiviral, and immune-stimulating properties, even able to kill up to 99% of airborne bacteria.

Tea Tree - Oil of the Month

Tea Tree Oil, also known as melaleuca oil, is an essential oil with a fresh camphoraceous odor and a colour that ranges from pale yellow to nearly colourless and clear. It is derived from the leaves of the tea tree, Melaleuca alternifolia, native to southeast Queensland and the northeast coast of New South Wales.

When used topically, tea tree oil is believed to be antibacterial. Tea tree oil is commonly used to treat acne, athlete's foot, lice, nail fungus and insect bites.

Tea Tree Oil is available as an oil and in many over-the-counter skin products, including soaps and lotions. However, tea tree oil should not be taken orally. If swallowed, it can cause serious symptoms.

Common Names: tea tree oil, tea tree, Australian Tea Tree Oil,Tea Tree Essential Oil, melaleuca oil

Latin Names: Melaleuca alternifolia

Background

  • Tea Tree Oil comes from steam distillation of the leaves of the tea tree. The tea tree grows on the swampy southeast coast of Australia.
  • The aboriginal people of Australia have traditionally used tea tree oil as an antiseptic (germ killer) and an herbal medicine.
  • Today, external use of tea tree oil is promoted for various conditions such as acne, athlete’s foot, lice, nail fungus, cuts, mite infection at the base of the eyelids, and insect bites.

Evidence (from the Mayo Clinic)

Research on tea tree oil use for specific conditions shows:

  • Acne. Research suggests that a treatment gel containing tea tree oil might be effective at relieving acne.
  • Dandruff. A tea tree oil shampoo used for four weeks has been shown to be effective at treating dandruff.
  • Athlete's foot. A tea tree oil cream, applied twice daily for one month, has been shown to be effective in relieving symptoms of athlete's foot.
  • Lice. When used in combination with lavender oil, tea tree oil has been shown to be effective at treating lice eggs.
  • Nail fungus. Research hasn't shown tea tree oil used in its pure form or in combination with other antifungal therapies to be effective in treating toenail fungus.
  • Tea Tree Oil should not be swallowed. Taking it orally can cause serious symptoms such as confusion, ataxia (loss of muscle coordination), breathing problems, and coma.
  • Most people can use topical products containing tea tree oil without problems, but some people may develop contact dermatitis (an allergic skin rash) or skin irritation on the parts of the body where the product was used.
  • Little is known about whether it’s safe to use tea tree oil during pregnancy or while breastfeeding.

Benefits

  • Amongst other benefits, Tea Tree Essential Oil is highly valued for its powerful deodorizing properties.
  • Because of this, it is commonly used in personal care products such as lotions, creams, gels, washes, shampoos and various cosmetic products.
  • The benefits of Tea Tree Essential Oil are also widely recognized when it comes to skincare. When diluted and applied topically it has been seen to help reduce symptoms of acne, burns, sunburn, insect bites, blisters, eczema, chickenpox, cold sores and athlete’s foot.
  • Other’s have said that this essential oil has helped with dandruff and other hair complaints. In fact, Tea Tree Oil is known to be one of the best essential oils for head lice.

In addition, Tea Tree Essential Oil blends well with Clary Sage essential oil, Clove Bud, Geranium, Lavender, Pine  and Rosemary essential oils. You can also read our Tea Tree Oil reviews below to see how other people are enjoying Tea Tree Essential Oil.
